This project uses bentonite as the basic material to develop a coating wastewater purifier.
In the process of using water-based paint, spraying is the most important coating method, but the coating efficiency of spraying varies greatly. The paint rate is generally around 50%, and the highest is no more than 70%. Water curtains or water spins are generally used in spraying workshops to remove paint mist, so there will be a large amount of water-based paint wastewater, plus the wastewater generated by equipment and container cleaning, the amount is very large. This will not only cause a waste of resources, but also cause pollution to the environment, bringing an extremely heavy burden to both society and enterprises. Water-based paint wastewater uses water as a solvent, has good miscibility with water, and most of it dissolves in water to form a stable solution or emulsion. Compared with oily paint wastewater, it is difficult to simply add chemicals to form large floating paint slag removal process. Therefore, water-based paint wastewater treatment is a key technology for the "oil-to-water" policy. The products of this project use the existing circulating water and wastewater treatment system to quickly treat and collect wastewater for water-based industrial paint coating and recycle it. Reduce the solid content, turbidity and other indicators of wastewater, and meet the main rapid treatment methods for different types of water-based industrial paints. Implement dynamic management on the recycling of water-based industrial paint wastewater, and make full use of existing sewage treatment station equipment to meet the needs of industrial production. The product of this project won the second prize of the 2021 "Non-Metallic Mineral Science and Technology Award" of the China Non-metallic Mineral Industry Association.

The main raw material of the paint mist coagulant is the crystalline mineral of silicon-aluminum oxide. The mineral has a special layered structure.
Adsorption principle
The preparation process of this product adopts the surface charge modification process and the high-concentration exfoliation purification process to fully dissociate the layered minerals and increase the specific surface area. The specific surface area reaches 600-900 m2/g. And increase the viscosity of the mineral flocculant. Due to the increase in the specific surface area, the adsorption capacity of the bentonite flocculant is greatly improved. Agent I is adsorbed on the surface of wastewater droplets to form a "patch" structure and change the surface properties of paint droplets; Agent I is adsorbed on the surface of wastewater droplets to form a "patch" structure and change the surface properties of paint droplets; Agent II polymer forms connections between "patches", flocculates paint droplets into fluffy flocs, and removes them by air flotation.
